MIO – box spring in urban cottage style

Rastatt, 04 Oct. 2016 (trg). A mega trend in the interior design scene – the sensual experience of nature The desire to bring the outdoors home without foregoing comfort. With the new modular box spring programme MIO (design: Sylvia Himmel), RUFBetten fulfils this longing of the consumers. The special properties and feel of this bed philosophy is full on trend with the “furnished nature”. Here, profound homeliness merges with pleasant naturalness and a touch of minimalism to form a completely new cottage interpretation. MIO gives customers the option to create their very own urban-modern style with Scandinavian influences or a discreet, timelessly romantic playfulness from these components.

A choice of four different box spring bases

The variety and complexity of this box spring programme and the orientation for different target groups are a very unique dimension in the market. For the first time, selection options within a bed system are not limited to headboards, legs, fabric and interior. The MIO style is also personalised with four different bases: From puristic minimalism through elaborately crafted piping or elegant circumferential pilaster to decorative plinths in three different types of wood (Douglas fir, natural oak or walnut) – everyone defines their own look. MIO stands for one thing in particular: significantly more filigree than regular box spring programmes, yet uncompromising in terms of comfort with its three sleeping levels and an intelligent ventilation solution.

Four headboard forms with character

Apart from the bases, the four headboard options define the style. The buttoned MIO KT-KN and its clear and minimalistic lines is a successful homage to the 1950s. Meanwhile, the KTL model shows cottage character, especially with its playful buttons and generous throw. KT-HR looks like a picture frame while captivating with its sophisticated craftsmanship and discreet decorative seam. A functional headboard in true RUFBetten fashion adds the finishing touch to this variety: KTF with adjustable padding comes across as affectionate with its special finish and offers snuggly soft leaning comfort.

Urban-modern and natural-playful worlds of fabric

What’s still missing? The right fabric! That is why RUFBetten brings a huge variety to the market. Powdery pastel shades, such as rose quartz, sky blue or mint green underpin the Scandinavian character, and are a perfect match to natural wooden shades, such as light oak, white Douglas fir or trendy walnut. The earthy shades of red, exquisite creme nuances or warm ochre or chestnut shades complete the modern cottage look. The great thing about it: The composition also focuses on natural fibres and true sustainability. That is why linen, cotton and flax are the main components in the fabric production, creating an authentic natural feeling. Haptically, the fabrics captivate with their marked structure. Soft and supple surfaces define the appearance and create a supple feel-good effect.

Our beds are available at specialist furniture retailers in the widths of 100, 120, 140, 160, 180 and 200 cm, and lengths of 200, 210 and 220 cm from early 2017.
